The Intag Valley is part of the buffer zone of the Cotacachi Cayapas Ecological Reserve, located in the Ecuadorian Chocó region and crosses part of the Toisán Cordillera Cloud Forest. Its climatic floors are from 500 to 2,400 m.a.s.l. with temperatures of 64 to 86 °F. Intag has 200,000 hectares of great biodiversity that convert this zone in one of the hotspots area worldwide.

HISTORY

A group of neighbors, motivated by a foreing friend who came to their community, decided to adapt their homes to receive groups of tourists who visit the area to explore the natural wealth that surrounds the community of Pucará in the Intag Valley Zone.

Pucará is an organized community that provides safety and quality tourism, with solidarity principles to boost the economy and preserve their natural and cultural wealth.
